I'd say to a specialist cake maker $4-5K On the high end,

Resale value right now, possibly $1.5k - $3K somewhere round about there,

amazing how much a good weding cake will go for

The good thing about it is it's not specific to 1 "niche" within the cake Industry,

Wedding cakes,
Birthday cakes,
Etc etc etc....

So it's not to general, fits nicely to be able to use it for many niches.

GiftBaskets.us all over again. LOL

Cakes.us is a $1000 - $2000 name even as a reseller right now. You could argue either way that a more targeted term like WeddingCakes.us might be better or worse.

The broad appeal is what is good about Cakes.us

Also, while search volume is a major factor no doubt, sometimes it does not tell the whole story. I spent $400+ yesterday for a .US with 1300 exact searches, but it has other uses.

You could sub-domain wedding. and birthday. off from the domain and market them individually.

Strong name for sure.
As Dotus said, wedding cakes achieve some astronomical figures. You could sell links to specialist makers for decent money once the site has a following.

I'd develop it to take requests for special highpticket designs and then subcontract the quote out to cake makers local to the enquiry and take a cut...

I hope you don't consider anything I have said as flame material. I try to stick to the facts without going into personalities. Honest opinions are what is asked for in these appraisals, like them or not. Your opinions have never bothered me.:imho:



I would consider this name to be strong. Perhaps $1k reseller $3-4k enduser. It is a little bit general.
