Yes . It is worth anything if the site is intended for canadian audience.

IMO .ca is certainly worth something. Just like .us is gaining momentum .ca will gain ground too. And there are still good names available.

Correcto! Much like .co.uk, Canadians look strongly upon .ca .

.ca

Personally, I love .ca, I think that the resale values will increase in the future. Obviously, it will never reach the threshold of .com, but still I think we will see some pretty big .ca sales in 2006, hopefully some of mine ;)

I have plans for a .ca directory, maybe I will focus on .ca names that are for sale...

I know it has been done before but hey, I got to do something with all of the domains I own...

:hehe:

Not just Canadian audience

While .ca's are primarily Canadian, they can be used to draw American consumers. For instance, I sell blankets through www.fleeceblankets.ca (redirect) and most of my customers are from the US.

.CA is a TLD with strong fundementals. In contrast with .US, where reseller price increases are fueled primarily by speculative demand, demand for .CA is roughly in step with actual usage. Maybe this is because most speculative demand comes from the US.

With many LLL.ca out there, I don;t think they have any value expect if yu have dictionary domains or hunting domains

LOL...yup, I am always on the hunt for the right meat store. Thanks Monra for the chuckle. Yes, I live in Canada but in a big city. The only thing I kill is my plants.

I really like .ca, I agree with others they will go up in value. The best part is many good names are available

I think its quite remarkable how many .ca websites come up top on a google search.

Well either way...I registered ProBall.ca today...definitely developing it as a canadian baseball/basketball site. Something I'm actually interested in so I'm happy. What do you think?

I love .ca domains too! Here is a list of some of mine: http://gaoude.com/domains.htm

I don't know if any of you made a big .ca sale, but I think its market is much smaller than .com, .net and even .us, especially because you have to be Canadian to be able to own one.

As long as CA registry does restriction on registration, it won't be worth much.

Much like .tv I think .ca really needs development right now to make the domains worth more, obviously the regulation really hurts when it comes to reselling...

But, there are some really good names available and with proper development they can be very successful, I grabbed a new one yesterday and am planning a site (i will hopefully post more details later)

The big thing to remember for us Canucks is that we are a pretty free-spending culture, and most of our online shopping has to be done on American sites, so the opportunity to develop good Canadian based e-commerce sites is still very viable...

My New Years resolution is to have a full online store up and running for 2006!

.us is regulated as much as .ca but it is still gaining ground.
I think the restrictions on ownership and reselling are therefore pretty much the same ;)

Hi all,
I am a new member in you forum.
I have some very good .ca domains name. I had an offer for 12,000$ US for one of my domain.
I really think that the .ca market will be very good in the next few years.
