THE L--L.com's and C--C.com's THREAD

It seems that we have "Official Threads", for all sorts of DN niches and categories.

I thought I would start one for C--C.com's, this includes L--L.com's and N--N.com's.

L--L.coms are great for companies and websites that use 2 letters in their name. The only other two letter .coms are LL.coms (who can afford one of those?) and L-L.coms. There are only 676 of each of those types of DNs available for a total of only 2,028. That is a very, very small number of two letter .com domain names.

N--N.com's are the same story, except even fewer at only 100 domains availble for each of the three possible types for a total of only 300 two number .com DNs.

There are only 1,296 C--C.com's, are you an owner?
Do you know of any big sales, do you have any comments or ideas?

I own 13 L--L.com's, 1 N--N.com and 1 N--L.com

Here is a full list of all possible combinations, (including N--L & L--N) if anyone wants to scan these once in awhile.

Link : Is Here

Own a few L--L.com's no real traffic/interest yet though.

676 L--L
100 N--N
260 L--N
260 N--L

total - 1296 C--C

Thanks for the correction, Vurg :red: rep added ;)

I'm talking about only C--C.coms not all double dash domains.

Just sold a L--N.com for $25 here on NamePros.
Down to 2 (reasonably good quality) L--N.coms now.

How do you know it was somebody here? Do you remember somebody posting that they bought them all out or something? Just curious.

Alot of the decent premium/english word ones were bought out 2004ish, most of the others were reg'd in 06.

My favourite is:

0--1.com

Love or hate the double hyphen, this is a very rare domain and the #1 (literally speaking) of it's N--N.com class. Only three #1 .com's: 01, 0-1 and 0--1. It's taken in many other extensions ;)

I also have L--N.com (the domain) and intended to use it to showcase my collection but I've almost sold them all.

Whether or not that others think these domains are worth reg. fee or less, I've had such success with these that I am always on the lookout for more good quality and/or meaningful drops.

Matt.

Two letter one words? Like Am, We, Us, ? How many 2 letter english words are there? Anyone know. I actually own two of these, B--Y .com and A--D .com :)

Actually, 00.com is the first; 01 is the #1 :hehe:

The repeating character ones very seldom become available. The only one I've ever seen sold was L--L.com on TDNAM this year, for $180 ish if I remember rightly. I thought it might go higher, but these domains were less popular then.

I find these domains fun too :)

There's nothing like making money and having fun at the same time.

hahah.. My bad.. 00.com is the first domain name on the internet.. LOL

I totally would have thought L--L.com would have sold for more than $180 but it all depends on who sees the auction I guess.

I think you must be talking about me. I bought out the domains in late April, early May, 2005. I have between $3000 and $4000 in sales last year but I held off selling them this year. I have held off on buying dropped domains as I want to diversify my portfolio and so I don't buy them any more.

In retrospect, I probably bought out the N--L.com and L--N.com too early. The N--N.com and L--L.com were a smart buy but I bought out the rest ahead of their time (between 12-18 months too early).

Some don't like them but you don't need a lot of people to like them as there is only 1296. There is definately enough demand for them to keep them bought out and there is a lot of development potential for the names.

101.
Google "2 letter words scrabble" or some similar search and you'll find a list.
