The thing about dropped domains is at one point someone though it had value. But for whatever reason let it expire but even worse it went to auction ( as do all expired domains end up in) and still no one wanted it.

Since it has the "leprosy" of domaining stigma of the drop. There's a good chance it will be available to reg when the next coupon rolls around.
