as a newbie, i am not too sure of the Buy,sell process.
example:

if i purchase one of the domain name
on namepros.for $10.00(say from enom)

does it just park in enom for free. what does the
seller transfer to me. the password to the domain?
who initiate the change of ownership data.?

what happens if i move it to a web host
like dotster, fees to transfer out of enom
and fees to transfer to dotster?

if i buy today and sell next week, whats involved?

point me to the right threads:lol:

thanks

If you buy a Domain from someone and its regged at eNom NameCheap etc... there is a " push " option which allows the Domain to be pushed to another account at that registrar so you will need to have or create an account there. All that is needed by the seller to make the push is your account name.

The Domain must be regged at the current place of registration for 60 days before it can be transfered to another registrar, such as Dotster. You will have to pay the transfer fee which the new registrar charges which adds another year to the life of your Domain so there isnt any real fees, some registrars might work differently but the Top ones function this way.

You can park it free and when you are ready to host it just point the DNS to your Host.

i get the idea, thanks. does it cost to create an account?
how does one make money with all these in/out fees?
some of the names are below cost???
what about those with hundreds of names? WOW!:tu:

There are no fees to open an account.

The idea would be to not move the Domain in/out to various registrars. As long as it stays within the same registrar you can move the Domain between accounts at will and pay no fees.

If the buyer wished to transfer the Domain say to another registrar there is no expense on your part, the seller, so your only expense would be the initial reg fee.

Its good to select a trusted registrar when regging names. I would imagine that anyone who is a reseller has an eNom NameCheap GoDaddy Dotster account setup and I also believe they are the most preferred registrars around.

i think its hard with all these regitstrars since getting accounts for alot of them is necessary to aquire free pushes from sellers. it gets fustrating so be sure to keep track.
