I dont know if this is the right spot but,

I purchased domains from Go Daddy before, but there is always strings attached to the $3 .com domains and all.

So where can I get the cheapest domains, with no strings attached and somewhere that will stay the same price every time i renew them.

What extensions were you buying? If you set it to manual renew, they wont just take the money. And generally the renewals are more than the original registrations simply because thats how they operate. But never $20

Name.com has free whois protection - now thats a real draw card for me.. and as well as that there prices are some of the best in the industry.

Why is it, that so many new domainers (not calling you a newb, but you look new, no offence intended) are interested in privacy? It kills you, especially if an end user or a reseller wants to inquire about a domain. Sure they can used a parked page setting, but that link can be easily missed, and therefore can hurt your chances of selling.
