Buying a domain (without problems)

Hello everybody!

I'm newbie at domain buying / selling.

I think this is the correct place to post this message.

I'm going buy a domain, and that domain is registered at namecheap.
Well, the domain as whois privacy, and i appreciate suggetions and advices to garanty that the transaction goes without any problem.

At the moment i just have an email address from the owner. I don't know is real name, address, etc.

- should i ask to user to remove privacy whois, before i make the payment?
- i'm going to make the payment by paypal, any advice in that?
- any another advice?

I think the usual procedure is:

- i make the payment to the owner account (via paypal);
- i send the "namecheap push security code" to the owner;
- i wait the owner push the domain to my (namecheap) account.

Please, tell me if i'm skiping any important step to assure everything goes smoothly.
