I recently bought a domain from Buydomains.com and wondered if any of you have had some previous experience with them. How was your experience?

I have already purchased but find it weird they say I will receive transfer instructions in 7-10 days. Why would it take that long? Is there a process that I'm not aware of outside of a simple transfer request?

Maybe there is a member of their staff that can explain. I'm not worried at all I just find it odd.

We (doing some startup) have also bought a domain from them 2 weeks ago, thats normal process. Because depending on where they they have the domain at which registrar etc. But we got our name in like 2 days, if you want to speed things up a bit - then contact your sales associate, and then ask him if he can speed up the things, most likely he will get the name transferred within 24 hours from his transfer team to send you proper details sooner.

Yeah that's usual. They'll push the name into an account they'll open for you at whatever registrar the name is sitting at, and send you the log in information. I've purchased two names from them.

Yes, the process was similar.

Also make sure you transfer out, as they have their own obscure registrars with crazy renewals...

The name I bought from them is with eNom. I have an eNom account so I dont understand why they would need to open me an account there.

Also my sales rep stated in two days I would have my transfer details. That time has passed and I contacted him again today about it. No answer.

My sales rep hasn't replied to me at all about the 2-day transfer in which he told me I would get. He was very responsive during the negotiations for 3 straight days now nothing. Anyone have a name of a good sales rep there?

Got my transfer details just now. I guess we can disregard at this point haha. Mods please close as I don't have that option on this thread for some reason.
