That link doesn't work but it doesn't surprise me. It is the same that happened to the .web registry.

Haha, I feel the same way about it Seabass. More funny business from Pool I guess.

It's never going to work because of one BIG problem.
One must install browser plugin to see the site.

Another BIG problem is that their TOS say they can
cancel your acct, raise renewals for whatever reason
and whatever amount.

For example...
domain-com
You won't be able to see it without plugin.
People will NOT install plugin just to see such site.
You will basically create the site only you can see :D
So, how it would work is beyond me.

You can choose them for free now but when they will be available you will have to pay. So let's say if 10 persons are going for the same name then I guess there will be an auction and highest bidder takes it.

I was going to say ... we've already kind of been down this road with the highly brandable .WEB (IOD; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.web ), IMHO.

Poolโ„ข has lost a LOT of its luster, and this further marginalizes them in my view. :guilty:

I would have thought a .xxx would be right up your street. You could use it for that $35 porn script you bought on Namepros last week. Did you find somebody to design a banner for the site? I read your ad. If you can't use Photoshop, you will struggle in the adult entertainment industry, alot of air brushing goes on. That's why there's only 1 eff in Hefner.

I searched for .pro, if you make negative comments about it, I find them.

I have very little time on my hands. I have a day job and develop domains at the weekend. I don't need to buy scripts or get banners designed, I can do it myself.

I read some more of your posts. You offered a long list of very weak .infos at $49 and your time is so precious you fill in surveys for 3NP and post a link to the survey. You've written 6,400 NP posts in about the same time it's taken me to write 900. Who has more time to spare?

Any one of the .infos in my signature is worth more than your entire .info collection. I don't sell domains for $49, I turned down an offer for Offshore.pro for $4,500 2 months ago. That was only regged in April 2007. There isn't that sort of upside in .info because all the very good ones were regged or allocated by 13 July 2002.

I'm very clear on why I moved from .com to .info and finally to .pro. To maximise my return on investment, either by development or resale.

I hand regged domains like Gadget.pro, Piano.pro, Play.pro, and Pension.pro. I bought stunning fitting keywords like Expert.pro, Salon.pro, Digital.pro, and Image.pro and blockbuster keywords like France.pro and Diamond.pro for relatively modest $XXX sums.

As a developer, I'm confident I can extract value from them. .pro works exactly like .com and .info; it produces better keyword fits than .com, e.g. Poker.pro and Golf.pro, and is more brandable than .info.

If I was developing land, it wouldn't bother me that only a few people were developing it, or that few people had heard of it. That's a good things, it means I don't have to pay as much for it.

.pro is the land equivalent of California in the 1860s. It's as far from .com on the east coast as you can get but the sun shines on its brandability all year round, making it ripe for development.

You can't develop, and having read a few of your posts, I doubt you meet .pro's eligibility requirements so .pro is out of your reach. You stick to your $49 .infos and I'll stick to domains like Mobile.pro, Studio.pro, and Office.pro. We'll see who turns the biggest profit 10 years from now.
