type: dating site for really specific group of users
[aff.com-type, free limited access and paid full account]
members 29.000 users (17.000 paid users)
google search: #2 (#1 is website with 14.000 users)
alexa: 98X.XXX
monthly revenue: $1000 (no one really spends any time for promotion or sale, site "generates" money on its own (from new meberships and advertising))

aso you understand, domain name is irrelevant

in this case gross is close net. time spent on customer support is minimal, let's say 20-30min/day. dedicated server hosts 5 projects which are all generate income. 1/5=$30

ok, well a good baseline generally used is 1 mon net x 10-18 months. however, for this...since there is little/no overhead, i would lean to the 16-18 month mark.

Questions:
1) is this type in traffic?
2) How long have you been making this money?
3) is it increasing?(revenues)
4) is it referal money? if so, is it continual per month their signed up?

Here is as good a place as any to ask, although you'll get a wide range of opinions. Since this is a business, not a name, you could always go to someone who does business valuations. Of course you'll have to pay serious money for it, provide them with a lot more information, documentation, and in the end, they will farm it out to someone like one the members here who helps valuation services with tech businesses.

There are a lot of ifs, but if your handing over everything, including company, server, licences, etc, providing training and agreeing to a non-compete it could be worth as much as $17,000.

A lot depends on what is involved in the daily support. How much would it cost to hire someone to do it. If you had to pay $25/day then you have overheads of $9,000/year, and a site worth up to $17,000. If you have to pay $50/day you have overheads of $18,000/year and a site that's worth a fraction of that.

Justwondering how you have a business with 17,000 paid members and its only making 1000 a month. Thats turns out to be .058 cents a person. 30 minutes a day for 29,000 people? Thats seems a little untrue or unbelivable. So Im goign to appraise this site at 1,000 because for all the support you probably have to do and etc.. Its a full time job I would say.

17000 paid user means that 17k people paid one lifetime fee. after they paid i don't get any money for them. $1000 come us from new memberships and advertisings. Since i mentioned that it is a site for "specific" social group, all advertisings are 100% targeted. to make you understand better, here is hypothetical example: dating site for people for bold people. all advertising are from makers/distributors of regrow/hairloss prevention products.


Price of 12-18 times current monthly revenue is a dream. when someone did take care of it it was making up to 3500 net. it's jut right now other projects are far more interesting that usual production/customer support/sales..

It's not worth spending that kind of money on a business your size, but if you really want I'm sure you can have it done.
