Bush Lovers Stifle Gay Reforms

Four countries have approved gay marriage to date, including our neighbor to the North, Canada.. how many feel Bush and his friends need to get with the program and relax our trend toward homophobic behavior and legislate gay reforms, particularly federal legislation allowing gay marriage? Shouldn't gays be afforded the same rights as non-gay couples?

True, most molestors are straight... unless you look at the percentages of gays in society vs the percent of the molestations. then it is disproportionate. gays clearly have a higher propencity to molest than do straight.

My personel and religious beliefs on the gay culture is fairly simple i think...I do not agree that gays should be able to get married...That's crazy...We hit the year 2005 and all of the sudden society finds itself believing that gay marriage is in order?? NOT!! People say they are born gay and do not have a choice?? Personally, I disagree with same-sex marriage. The way I see it, the laws regarding families (in my country we call them the "Family Code") are in place to provide security, continuity and stability to the family members, first and foremost the kids. Since there are no kids issuing from same-sex couples, then there is no particular need to support them with a law. Adoption doesn't count, as I feel its unfair to a kid to be reared in such a confusing environment int he first place; better they grow up in a convent instead.

If same-sex marriage is allowed, then where do we draw the line? I fear it would lead to a slippery slope might lead to the legalization of other unusual affiliations, like group marriages, sibling marriages, even inter-species union.

That said, I respect their right to live the gay life.
