Bulk checking!!

i have got a list of about 1000 words which i would like to check whether they r available or not

so what i want:
1. any script (php + mysql) which can do the job for me on my server
2. any software application which will do it extremely fast?

can u rely on that site? just check www.180.us in that.. it is showing that it is available but in reality it is not

There are PHP scripts readily available for that purpose. Have a look at sourceforge.net and phpclasses.org. The problem when running things on your server is that your IP will probably be flagged after a few tens of domain checks and you'll have to wait.
If you need to check large list your best bet would be to check via a registrar, for example Moniker has bulk checking available and it is usually reliable.

ok registered at domaintools. and now i have a domain portfolio having about 2000 names...

when i click on sort by expiry date then only the domains on that page get sorted according to expiry..

is there any way i can sort my whole domain portfolio according to expiry date ?

You can use the free software Domain Name Analyzer, you can download it from idotz.net
