there seem to be a lot of posts wanting to use a domain name broker but i haven't seen a list of good brokers independent or attached to a registrar etc

it would be quite useful to have a forum entitled 'brokers' that lists domain name brokers and the % commission they charge etc

and it would help domain sellers and brokers alike if both rated each other during a broker derived sale and price achieved

many would prefer to pay a domain name broker than pay auction fees or be bothered to list domains at auction etc but most cannot find a decent broker which is why it would be good to have a recommended list of brokers previously used etc in a np forum added to the 4th line of forums between domain name discussion and gtlds ish

many would even prefer to have their portfolio managed completely by an independent broker

I agree with you 100%
I need one as well..........

Brokers want premium names, not just any $ 300 name.

I am not sure if we are even talking about the price here. It's more about the fact, that Category "Brokers" and maybe SubCategories "Wanted" and "Available" would be great idea and absolutely need it. INMO

This might be best as a thread where members can contribute to it so it's all in one thread for domainers to search through and find the broker they wish to use.

This might be best as its own thread, one per broker, in the Reviews section:

I think the toughest part is that the best brokers are busy and only take on new clients with really good domains, but most domains have to wait until the right buyer comes along.

This would be a good service idea for someone to build ;)

Obviously but domains aren't always just domains

Facebook dot com wasn't just a domain it was the perfect domain behind the vision eg the idea the tech concept etc

I am an ideas guy I have the idea the tech concept and then buy the dot com of the name so I know that any tech entrepreneur that has the same idea

Needs the domain name I bought of the idea

Irrespective of price

Which is why many of my domains won't sell until someone else has the same idea

The money comes from the ad $`'s that the website of the vision generates

You are 100% correct. I am exactly same like you.
It's only frustrating when "brokers" tell you it's worth nothing and I sell it for 3k, 5k,13k, 27k etc.
Plus all the appraisers are joke as well.
Prove?
axnMLS (made up name)
CostaricaVip (no brainer)
Altoz (made up name)
Coreon (made up name)
(all .com)

So it's "little" frustrating and one has to sell them himself. Ohh, well...
Good luck to both of us ;)

Eric,
No wonder, on the page
https://www.namepros.com/forums/domain-brokers-and-financiers.208/
No one seem to monitor it. It should be only for brokers to offer services. Like a directory or something. Only brokers can post, and all the post broker wanted should be deleted.
Plus every broker should be fairly specific what domains they are interested in and even commission they want. Done

That will not work?

Brokers can only sell the domain names they understand eg their specialist area or experience etc but as mentioned they should state the names they are prepared to well which saves everyone's time and state their commission etc

I think that's what I said as well..
Btw: I am really talking about the fact, that Broker Page would be nice with out cluttering with wanted etc. ONLY BROKERS offering service - period.
IMHO
