Would love to hear your thoughts on this one.

I think the .COM sold for 7 figures some years ago.

Britsh and england would be far more usable/marketable in my opinion so probably more valuable although i do like the domain. I dont recall ever seeing a .net in use here in england and as richface has said, its not that commonly used as people tend to say UK or England, Wales etc. However it is used probably more by people outside of the UK to describe us. Id say maybe mid $XXXX reseller pricing and low $XXXXX end user if you lucky enough to find one. Certainly a name I wouldnt mind having i my portfolio. Best of luck!

I'm from the UK too, and in my experience the word 'Britain' is used at least as much as it's individual country's names. I wouldn't know about value, but I think your name is safe as a good one. I'd hang on to it for a while - it may even get stronger thanks to Brexit. At the moment though, like the country, 'britain.net' might be sailing turbulent waters :)

Isn't the country called "Great Britain" though? :P

Yeh, sometimes we drop the 'Great'. We are great, but we're quite modest too ;)

shoppingmall.com sold for $500.000
shoppingmall.net sold for $2.500 (very bad sale...)
That's why patience is very important in domaining: patience does not always work but it is important...

Great name, I don't feel its value can be appreciated on Flippa, better to hold out for an end user and get well into the five figures. :)

I Know of 2 Huge Domain Investment companies here in the UK who regularly browse through Flippa believe me the name has been spotted but again the political climate is an issue too much of an investment risk you have to be here to understand. Why don't you take a punt at it Dave?

Anyway Good Luck with the auction still some time left.

I live in the UK, born and bred. Yes, my valuation comes as part of that risk. You have very valid points though.

Well done @Federer

Congrats! Could have sold for more with a bit of patience, but $7.5K is good too. Flippa is not the best venue for premium names, unfortunately. GD auction might have yielded better...

I guess Federer, you caved in to the negative appraisals and sold for only $7.5k? I thought you were going to hold it after Brexit.
