    Hi @sellian

What @BrandPlease is trying to say, is that a good domain tells its own story. Instantly. When you have to explain things to other people, the domain does not tell this story on its own. Regarding your combination of true + crypto = trupto: I did not see that, until you began explaining how it was composed. And to be honest, I still have difficulty to see a crypto domain in this. Nevertheless, I wish you the best of luck in finding the right buyer for your domain :)

Ok fair enough, but did you really see the story behind Fiverr, Airbnb, Napster, Spotify, etc the first time you heard these names? I honestly needed the whole story to understand what those brands were offering.

In the case of Trupto, I (yes, personally:)) think the niche has potential. I also like the name aesthetically, and it makes sense to me. I just hope it will make sense to potential buyers looking for an exotic/snappy/descriptive name.

So far it has gotten some likes on the “reg. of the day“ thread, and here too :)

Anyway, I only paid reg fee for it, so I don't have much to lose (y)

BTW, I would be curious to get your take on Cryptopult as well!

    Thanks again!

I think we have to distinguish the quality of the domain name itself (without any further marketing efforts or explanation) and the quality of a company's product/service + any additional marketing efforts that can make a name like Fiverr a success. Still I think, Fiverr is not a great name.

Slightly related: on this forum, some people are using great graphics to promote the names they've recently registered. I agree that this is good marketing, but in the end, we're discussing the quality of domain names on this forum, and not graphics design quality.

Quick questions as I just started listing my first 2 names on Brandpa.

    1) Some people have hundreds of names there, some people saying they paid $5 listing fee. I had to pay $8 each. Is this fee different for everybody?

    2) My two domains I have listed are:
    Avaano.com
    Doxicity.com

Any thoughts as I am new at Brandables?

I would have to pay $6 ($5 + VAT, but VAT is 27% here not 25%, so I guess it's just random :D) I see absolutely no reason to list any name on Brandpa anymore.
I like your first domain, sounds like a luxury brand. Good luck!

It's $8 for me as well... I'm thinking they must have updated this and some people might be quoting outdated pricing. I've only been listing on there since August 2020 or so (I have 176 there now) and it has always been $8 each for me (I'm in the US - maybe it varies?).

I personally think in the case of SOME brandables... graphic design quality is very important. (Although, I'm a graphic designer... so perhaps I'm biased).

For example, I sold this domain on Brandpa - the image on the left is the original logo design I got back and the one on the right is the where we landed after a little back & forth (I try not to get TOO picky - designers only get $5). Knowing that this would be good as a food brand, it was important to me that this be evident in the logo. I also thought the initial design was just... ugly and outdated. I need the buyer to be able to picture this domain as representing their business, and with an unattractive design it's much harder. I honestly don't think this domain would have sold with the original design.

If you had an account before they changed their rules and allowed people to list the names you want, then you pay $6 - All newer accounts pay $8

    Hi @pixabrand

I certainly agree that a good presentation and good graphics are important on Brandpa and other brandable marketplaces.

On this forum however, I think plain text is enough to describe a domain amongst peers. In a lot of cases, the enormous graphics take a lot of screen space. Perhaps it's done to have these graphics indexed by Google Images, as they often include contact details.

graphics definitely help enhance the value of a name, but you need good names to start with to get sales

Another Brandpa sale to report! Details below if you're interested:

    B o o z e r o (.) c o m

    Sale price:
    $2,904 ($2,178 after fees) - 12 month installments
    Sale venue: Brandpa
Purchase price: $19 (GoDaddy expired domain)
    Hold time: 5 months
Extra notes: It was auto-appraised at $4495 and that's that's the amount I set it at, with a "lowest price you'll accept" at $2500 with max installments of 6. Brandpa reached out and said a buyer was interested and offered $1900, they negotiated them up to $2900 but the buyer wanted 12 installments. I took it - happy to make the sale :)

MikeMann picked it up and has it listed at 29,888

That's way I dropped it, I didn't and still don't believe in that name. Mike might fair better. Just thought it was neat that he picked it up.

I'm focused in other areas, just thought it be neat to share.

I always keep the ones I believe in ;)

One other thing I left out.

I am not a fan of the 3 month Price lock or whatever time frame is.

I should be able to lower or raise my prices at Will!

This has a negative impact imho. ( I'm aware BB has their own vs of this too, I do not like this feature).

As SELLERS we should have full control of our prices at ANYTIME unless a Agreement has been made on a purchase for that price.

It depends on your definition of under radar and the keywords you are searching for. I just searched " brandable domain names" and they are on the first page immediately after brandbucket, which is good. Also search for "domain names for sale" and they appear on the second page alongside the almighty brandbucket. They are not doing bad in seo.
Search like an end user that want to buy domain name and see results. Cheers

It seems I can't see anything when I visit domain names listed on BrandPa. I checked several names and all are the same. Is it the same for you also? Can someone please confirm..

Seems like they're testing out the permalinks.

Usually when a domain is typed out, it redirects to
    https://brandpa.com/names/name

    But now it redirects to
    https://brandpa.com/names/name.com

Few minutes before, it was redirected to
    https://brandpa.com/names/www.name.com
and was showing a blank page like now.

I think they will fix this soon.
