Hi,

How do you think is it a good idea to build a brand on negative word such as FOOL.COM (successful developed - investing, stocks etc popular source for investors).

Thinking to build an entrepreneur brand on F-CKED.COM is it a good or worse idea? #dotcombubble #bitcoincrash #housingmarketcrash #stockmarketcrash

Thank you

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think it’s kinda cool. You’re doing something, and that’s cool. You’re also doing something that can be value-adding to many. Writing, journaling, blogging, etc can be a powerful experience. It appears you would be encouraging people to share their experience, strength and hope. That’s great stuff. I hope your inspiration lies more in that of the project, than a pure financial motive.

It was a smart move by The Motley Fool to own that domain :xf.smile: They also own the co.uk as well

"Our name derives from Elizabethan drama, where only the court jester (the "Fool") could tell the King the truth without getting his head lopped off. We're dedicated to educating, amusing, and enriching individuals in search of the truth."

If you can be creative with negative words and spin a positive on them as above then why not? Just have to be careful how you position the Brand and then getting that message across.....

Also there is a big difference between "fool" and your domain quality wise........
