Hey guys!

I just had this idea! But maybe it's stupid.

If I suggest on Google My Business my domain as a local business website, I am doing something illegal?

I don't know if you know, but everyone can suggest this on any Google my Business account.

Example:
1) I have domain nameX.com
2) I found a company "Name X" on Google.
They have Google my Business , but not the website.
3) Can I suggest my domain as their website on their Google my business with the hope they will buy it?

PS: I know some of you might think it's unethical but I just wanted to share this idea with you and understand if it's still ok to do or not.

Hey I am still unclear what exactly you wanted to do? Comment on the business page that you hold their domain? Or is there some other way that I am missing?

Also, since it’s been a while, did you try it?

The OP wants to falsely represent to Google that his domain name is the website of a business listing on Google, for the purpose of extracting money from them once they realize their business listing includes a domain name which is not theirs.
