Hey everyone!

I originally bought ShopNoted.com thinking I’d use it for a little stationery or office supply side hustle. Then I discovered domain investing… and now here I am wondering how deep this rabbit hole goes.

I’m completely new to this space and still trying to figure out what makes a name valuable, how to price things without guessing wildly, and what the heck a “fast transfer network” actually does.

So far, I’ve got one name, a lot of questions, and a healthy respect for anyone who’s mastered this game.

I’m looking forward to learning, connecting, and hopefully not panic-buying 10 more domains before Friday.

Haha, fair enough. I knew I might be walking into a buzzsaw with this one.

I figured the best way to learn was to post something and see what happens. I appreciate the honesty.

I’ll be over here studying like it’s a final exam. I’m open to any suggestions on where to even begin.

I’m seeing how saturated the space is already, and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

That said, I’m not planning to burn 10–20K just to figure it out… more like learn the ropes, make a few intentional moves, and hopefully not lose my lunch money in the process.

I appreciate the perspective, though. All part of getting a realistic view of the landscape.

Hey GreyMatter, love your story—so relatable! That first domain opens up a whole world, and yes, figuring out “value” is a journey in itself. Excited to see where you go with it!

Hello and welcome!

In domaining, there are old school domains, which means .com and there is also a new boat coming every now and then like crypto domains were hot a couple of years back, now a days its .ai and agents.

So, whenever you start in any field, it won't be easy as there are experienced people and still there is some scope for every newbie.

Domaining is not get rich quick scheme. It requires a lot of hard work, reading, learning, observing, good English, decent memory, trial, monotonous filtration every day and some money to start.

If anyone can do that, its makable.

Best of luck!
