Boss Media Sells Casino.com For $5.5M

Boss Media, a leading vendor of systems for digitally distributed gaming entertainment, has decided to sell the Casino.com portal for $5.5 million. The purchasing company, which wishes to remain anonymous for the time being, will acquire the rights to the Casino.com brand and domain name. Boss Media wishes to focus more attention on its core business activities. Peter Bertilsson, Boss Media's president and chief executive officer, explains the company can now concentrate its efforts on "developing the best gambling platform in the world."

WoW interesting. I disagree with the action though because they could have created the greatest online platform too. But then again it relates to my dream of a network that I do too many projects and have not enough time.

Casino.com, though not an actual online casino, was a developed portal so does not qualify as a domain-only sale. I would guess that the domain had a LOT to do with the sales price though.

i bet. the domain alone would probably get big money offers. I still think if i were in the position I would have held onto the domain and the portal.

nah 5.5 mill is a fair bit of money they did right to take it i wonder if the .com boom is coming back with google going sell shares next year hope it does

I mean, the bottom line is, to develop a damn nice, seriously good portal, wouldnt set u back more than 20k..let alone 500,000$
