BoonEx community software any good?

Does anyone have any experience with BoonEx community software and their Dolphin product? (which seems to be free)
Boonex Dolphin

Is it recommendable, stable, customizable, etc.? It seems to have video integrated, etc.
If you have any experience with it, what did you use it for?
Can it be considered an enhancement over Joomla/Wordpress, and other blog/forum software?

Any help is appreciated.

I don't think you can compare Boonex and Joomla/Wordpress.
They are different.

Boonex is more like myspace type leaning toward dating site.
I haven't had much experience with it, but, considering it for
one of my domain LOV.net

I tried it and it was very decent for such a free script.
Slipxaway has phpfox and he said it was very very server intensive btw.

to see if its good or not.. i need something like it and so far this is one of the best freebie ones

I am using the Dolphin v5.5 for a community site that I am putting together. I have basically stripped out all the dating functions, as this is strictly a community site. I do find it quite good (especially for free). I am just in the process of incorporating phpBB forums into the site.

Used the previous version and didn't like it. Too many bugs.
Haven't had a proper go at the latest version but so far looks like a big improvement.

Recently got phpFox too. So far I'm thinking it's a waste of time and cash.

Any reason why you are not using their forum plugin?

I installed boonex (dolphin).

My site is dating site, LOV.net, so, I installed all default scripts.
Now, I need to insert some words, TOS, FAQ and such.
Then, install Ray plugin as soon as I find some time

Installation went real smooth.
So far, all I did is insert logo.

Well, I had read on another support forum for Dolphin (not related to Boonex), that for Orca forums were not that good. So I decided on phpBB. A bit more work, but probably worth it. I have not yet seen the Orca forum package, just going by what I have read.

Site looks good. Did you incorporate a forums section, if so what did you use? I did not sign up, and usually with Dolphin, the forms like is in the users control panel.
