On Feb 25 and 26, Bob Parsons (the GoDaddy founder) registered ALL available LLL names on .tc / .vg / .gd / .ms. I mean all of them, from aaa to zzz. Thus, there is no more LLL remaining on these extensions!!!

You can check the whois info at http://whois.adamsnames.tc/

Interesting things are :

He doesn't seem to have registered any NNN.

There are still a lot of LL and NN available. Why did he took all LLL but not LL?

What is he going to do with them?

What do you think about this? Share any idea.

I think the door has closed for investment in two and three number/ letter names in these extensions.

You know, it is rarely dull around here.

The Bob Parsons bit I suspect was a joke - and it is nice to see these guys have some humor, as they turn the screws.

Two numbers are also now reserved:
domain 94.vg
Domain Name 94.vg
Registered 2007-03-02
Expiry
Resource Records
ns ns1.fastpark.net
ns ns2.fastpark.net

Hmmm, maybe our new slogan...

"NamePros.com - It's rarely dull around here." :kickass:

Interesting indeed. this is the first time that i hear about anyone throwing a ton of money into an exotic extension. Logically, my question would be, what does it do to the value, normally, i'd expect the value to increase drastically, especially if someone follows and regs the remaining LL + ext. .... weird indeed. i guess i'll hold on to mine for now.

I thought the phone number might be fake, but look @ whois for nic.tc

Yep, something is fishy here, my tool says (example) ard.vc is available;
idotz.net comes back with: its taken yet they are listing it as available in the mix of all ard.extension listings.... :?

Hmm

Well I do believe the .vc registry is not run by AdamsNames.

March Fools joke? :)

Well, if they have decided to suddenly reserve all 2-3 character names (which would be foolish IMO), then hopefully my mp3.vg, new.vg, and re.vg will be worth a bit more.

I am convinced (with no more to go on than the rest of you) that Bob Parsons had nothing to do with this, that Adams names has decided to jump up the prices of their remaining two and three letter and number domains, and that there is no mystery buyer.

At like 4 in the morning, British time. Perhaps that explains the Parsons bit.

I'm running a quick scan as we speak, so far i'm showing over 4k LLL.vc domains as available. Again, in the attempt to check out at iDotz, you have to take the "detour" to actually get to reg any. Something is def. screwed up, maybe some hacked the registry :hehe:

EDIT: Here are 6k available LLL.vc domains. Again, the registry seems to behave a bit funky, thus, i cannot assure you that the domains are actually available. Worth trying though. When i type any of these into idotz, it shows the domain already registered, however, in the list of all other extensions, which shows below the registration message, the same domain with .vc extension shows available and seems to be ready to be regged.

Best of luck, full list will be posted tomorrow morning.

EDIT2: FULL .vc list attached, it doesn't look right though. there are too many available if you ask me.

Cheers

There wasn't any claim on .vc - only .tc , .vg , .gd , .ms

I believe some guy just make joke.

This is Due to Adam's system: Just send a mail to them and Adam's computer will mark the Domains ad Registered already. And the Bill would be send to the guy next month. Nobody checking the Whois at all...

And I am sure that the guy would not pay the bill next month. Then all domains would be available again

Sounds like a .fm story. When you go to register a domain thats free in the whois it doesnt register. When you look a little harder you find the domain is free to register but at a higher price than stated. Registry rip off.

Could be a "Special Names List"
