What do you think about following email, I got it today. Is it scam??

Hi logichub.net,

My name is Cris Hartt, I work for Blue Strawberry Studio, a leading broker of online advertising, dealing with many thousands of independent webmasters worldwide. Our company has got 1,000 authorization key for a product called Text Links Ads Suite. It can be used to highly improve the Page Rank, Rankings in search engines and even increase targeted Traffic to the site. However, for some unexpected reason, we have to undersell them.

Now, the great news for you is that its original price on its platform is $ 999.95 per year, but now we can offer you 95% discount, which means it's now only $49.95. It will be valid in one year and these text links could appear on the detail pages of hundreds of business websites. And the most powerful function is that those detail pages are highly related to the customers' own products. So it's definitely worthwhile to own this Text Links Ads Suite.

More info about this product:

Or contact us at [email protected], I do hope to gain friendship from you and look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Cris Hartt

Looks pretty suspicious to me. I went to the link and it wanted to redirect me, so I didn't do that. Typing in Blue Strawberry Studio in google has this thread as the #1 result. lol....

I don't know too many legitimate companies that (a) use an IP address for their website (especially one that's under a single user's account, /~ans10000/), and (b) use GMAIL for their corporate email.

Also, it states that they're a UK company but both bluestrawberrystudio.co.uk and bluestrawberrystudios.co.uk are still available for registration. Seems to me that they would've registered these.

If you can PM me the full email headers I can dig into this a bit more for you if you want (you can blank out your email, that's not too important), however I'd say that this has scam written all over it. Well, maybe not scam, maybe an overly eager Affiliate trying to make a quick buck. If you follow through to the site you can probably get their Affiliate ID and report it to the actual company, since this is probably a violation of their policies.

Yup, I'd have to say it's a scam.

A couple of the IPs are on blacklists, there's no ip/host associated with the user that clicked send (so it looks like the headers were forged), they try to make it look like it's being sent through Host Gator but it's actually an IP address in Asia, and so on.

It's either an idiot spammer or an affiliate trying to make a quick buck.

Blue Strawberry Studio

Received a spam e-mail from company purporting to be Blue Strawberry Studio offering to sell 1000's of text links to boost page rank. Because e-mail sent address was undisclosed recipients and link address was an IP address not normal domain name, I was unimpressed and almost just ignored and deleted it. But decided to visit the link and received message from their ISP that their customer account was suspended. How bogus!!!!!!! They are trying to impress you that they have this amazing marketing program at an unbelievable price but they can not even afford to have a decent website, domain name and stay in good standing with their web hosting company. Pity the poor people that would fall for such an obvious scam.
