Hey Guys,

Check this out, I do not yet even have a blog of my own, barely understand the intricicies of it, but am getting more & more intrigued by it as it starts to overtake the internet in general in TV news, internet chatrooms and coffe table talks.....

Thus, I decided to start buying domain names, my first one was one week ago and have bought a totall of 44 & counting....!!!!

It feels like an infectious addiction.......!!

Anyway, the domain names I have bought have a very heavy slant towards blogging and I would love some advice as to their potential value/apparaisals.

Here are a few I would like your opinioins on:

blogcops.com
bloggerflogger.com
myblogreport.com
blogappraisals.com
blogappraiser.com
hornyblogger.com
blogsax.com
blogdox.com
forensicblogger.com
blogbarber.com
blogchutzpah.com
allinblogger.com
blogphenomenon.com
speedblogger.com
jetblogger.com

Many many thanx for anyone's input

Unfortunately, none of these domains are likely for the "big bucks".. reg fee for all IMO.

Trends are great but it's important to know the field before diving into it. IMO all the good blog related domains are taken except in the most obscure ccTLD's (for the most part).

Let me give you one: radioblog (142k OVT) .. now, go find out where it's still available.

All Blogged Out??!!

Impossible - let me take one domain name as an example - Blogcops.com,

I am a novice - yet the bleedingly obvious does not escape my attention.....undeveloped, these sites may not have that much $value, although Go Daddy has appraised blogcops from $178 to $592.........(I Have read articles here on godaddy valuations and am inclined to agree with the prominent opinion)

But are u guys telling me that these sites, even if they were developed, with lets say Blogcops being a site where people could post their experiances at the hands of the cops, download videoclips of car chases from camera enabled cell phones, blogs about who's on the FBI's most wanted list and whom should be there but isn't, blogs about why Fox news obsesses about certain cases etc etc, that this could not build up an intensely loyal following, creating its own momentum and reaching take off ???????

Come on guys, think outside the box.....!!!

And yes BLOGRADIO is all eaten up, but BLOGPHARM wasn't - so I bought that one just now........ Is this site totally worthless too??? Catchy title - loads of potential for people to discuss their meds/reactions etc .......makes some adsense to me!!

Developed websites are a different story and then you can base your selling price off of revenue, rather than domain name strength alone.

I actually like BlogBarber.com, but you need to develop it to bring out its full potential (i.e. a site that gives valuable tools to bloggers).

Exactly..

And I didn't say BlogRadio.. I said RadioBlog (there's a difference).

Sorry, none of these are really that great.

You could probably get reg fee back for them though.

Unfortunately, a lot of these are too specific to be worth much. You've got a smaller market to work with with less demand, and a high supply of those kinds of names, so yea, undeveloped you're looking at reg fees or less. I say develop a couple of them and make your money back. Good luck. :)

Of course a developed site will have more value but that is not what you asked for. You asked for an opinion of the names.
It could be developed into lots of things, just about anything could

(EG) Google, as a name probably would not be worth that much but as a developed site it is worth worth multi-millions.

You asked for an appraisal on names.

In my opinion, the names are not that great and would not be worth that much

My advice to you would be to put the credit card back into your pocket for a while and to read posts on this forum at give you an idea what sells and what doesn't.
That is what I did and although I have not sold very many domains , I have saved myself a small fortune NOT regging crap domains.

Best of Luck

Thanks Leon for your input in how you see things - and don't worry, I will be locking up the credit card - never mind putting it away, I no longer trust myself from registering "just one more" domain name.

Yep, developing my sites (the hard part is which one to take on as my first project) will be my aim, hard hitting humour my objective, and stand out from the blog crowd in quality of blogging my final destination.

Leon,

One last point though and anyone should feel free to answer this question, doesn't BLOGPHARM.COM rise above the rest of my site names??? Self explanatory/play on the name and website dedicated to people discussing their illnesses and meds/side effects etc....

In other words, doesn't the obvious potential of the developed website in and of itself give value to this domain name??
