If terms did not change recently - register.it allows transfer during grace period just like most (all?) other registrars.
I know because I transferred out exp + 20 days about 2-3 months ago.

I will encourage this auction to end sooner rather than later by lowering the BIN all the time. It is quite possible, in my opinion, to end it before expiry date.

Nope, that is not true, there is no "grace period" at register.it
I have lost many domains there because of this problem
This domain expires on Aug. 12 and after that day you will not be able to transfer that domain away from them, push will not work too, you need to check this with their support because they made some changes recently
