But is it still transferable even if it has expired? If not. It's very tricky. Because who is going to pay the renewal fee. Probably not the buyer (unless they keep it at Register.it) because they will already have to pay a transfer fee without any 1 year added to the age (if you renew it).

You should probably seek permission to change the terms of your auction to end 1 day before it expires, should the auction take that long.

We are already at the 7th. + 3 days from last bid takes us to the 10th already. Assuming there are no more bids. I can quite easily see that this auction could go past the 12th. If it's not sorted out. It's going to be a bloody mess. I'm sure. And one of us is going to end up with a negative TR because of it.

If terms did not change recently - register.it allows transfer during grace period just like most (all?) other registrars.
I know because I transferred out exp + 20 days about 2-3 months ago.

I will encourage this auction to end sooner rather than later by lowering the BIN all the time. It is quite possible, in my opinion, to end it before expiry date.

Just a reminder. You cannot BIN an existing bid. You need to set a BIN and have it accepted. If it's true that you don't need to renew the domain to transfer it. Then I don't see any problem Most registrars all have different terms, after expiry. So it's good that you are confirming that you can transfer away expired domains at Register.it.
