I am planning to buy a PS3 and a LED TV this time.

Would be great we everyone could share, how they find the best shopping deals online for the blackfriday?

Anyone seen a GoDaddy bulk domain registration deal for this blackfriday? Have to buy a few domains.

This is always the most insane time of the year! Once Thanksgiving hits, Black Friday is all that's on your mind. Listen even if you don't celebrate Christmas, here is your chance to get great items at the best price. I am going to rack up on some Video Games and a new Plasma. Man I love this time of year!

lol too many men waiting till close to christmas time to buy presents.

the purpose of black friday is really for each store to try to be the first to get a bite out of one's holiday budget. with the idea of get a chuck of it while its in their pocket.

my brother inlaw bought a flat screen tv today, you couldnt get me in those lines, let alone pull into the parking lot lol

Black Friday is a stroke of retail genius, which uses several powerful and proven persuasion tactics to get people to buy-buy-buy. A very small number of people get real bargains. The rest spend a lot of money on stuff they don't need (pseudo-bargains) because of the hype.

(... or they get trampled! )

Stores will have a couple of high profile deals to get people excited. When those are gone, the rest of the crowd will buy something else because everyone's in deal-frenzy mode, AND after they went through all that aggravation to go to the store and stand in line the "losers" aren't likely to go home empty handed!

Watch out online too. I saw something interesting on [A Big Online Retailer Website] yesterday. They were running these "Black Friday deals" where youd have a limited time to buy something for what looks like an unbelievable price (and only 15 minutes to check out after you put it in your cart).

I saw a couple of good buys ... and a lot of last year's merchandise, poorly rated items, unknown brand names, and for at least one item, the Black Friday price was a few dollars MORE than their current sale price for the exact same item (you can't see that after you've put it in your cart unless you shut off cookies/referrers and revisit the item page.) Nice !
