BIZ vs US <--Who's the winner ?

I would say .us was better.
There's more chance of getting domain hacks with .us than there is with .biz

.us hands down. I didn't even think this was open to debate anymore. .biz has flopped and is showing few signs of picking up. Alternatively, .us is showing a lot of promise and sales are starting to increase. In fact, I had a low/mid $x,xxx offer on one of my .us domains that I turned down last week.

Good to see a fresh perspective. Weird anti-biz feelings here masquerading as some kind of final truth. Both extensions are closely matched in use and potential though .us has a more entrenched footprint having been used for many more years as a portal for U.S. schools and city/state governments. "BIZ" is not only the official extension for "business", but the term's used in masse on nearly every business channel and website in the country. Commonly recognized for "business" like .TV is recognized for "television".

You're hot for .cc as evidenced by vip.cc under your avatar. Yet you characterize .biz as failed. That's comical.

Noticed a current Sedo auction on Circle.biz for those interested. Presently at $1350. Back to dotUS ... how could someone not like it? Defies logic.

.us is likely to become of the better ccTLDs. Along with the likes of .de, .uk, .in and .cn, .us represents a nation with a large economy and a huge amount of domestic interweb users.
.biz has some potential, but it really needs some big marketing to get awareness by Joe Public. On a personal point, I despise .biz, both as a poor example of English, and as the identifier for all those spam sites that it has become.

At the moment I'd say .us is the better investment than .biz, but you all know what this industry is like and how it could all change...

(Carlton's posts above me indicate that there are some good sales in .biz so don't dismiss it yet)

I refer to both as being the same in the sense.. I can't "abiding by the AUP" buy a .us but I can buy a .biz.. And US members can buy a .ca, etc etc.. CCTLD's are great, but limtied to that specific nation, which is why I think that mTLD's will be around the same if not more than most ccTLD's because they allow for global buying.

I don't see .biz as being much of a success. Yes, there are a handful of big sales. There will be a handful of big .mobi sales as well, but I think it will be a flop, too. .us has been doing fairly well and is growing. Because the US has such a huge number of internet users, it's sure to grow more.
