Beware of scammers

I recently received emails from someone wanting to buy my domain tvadspace.com saying he was from a company in Norway who wanted to invest. He went about asking me to get an appraisal for it and pointed me to a forum page about appraisals... making me think he was really interested. I emailed the company he was supposed to be from and they said he didnt exist. In the end I looked at the message headers and he was in Russia! When I confronted him he never replied. Anyone else had this??

Lol that's a super famous type of scam. You should do a search for appraisal scam.

I did get an appraisal from AfterNIC.. which he didn't like... so he was trying to get me to use one on the link he sent me. .. ( I worked out each post was posted by the same person )!!

This has in fact happened to me. I was contaced about a former domain of mine. ustld.us and the guy kept going on and on about how i needed an appraisial before he would buy. Needless to say i never got one, and the deal never went through.

When someone send me a message with any good offers and hard to believe, so i just ignore them or delete them ... .. ..
