Beware of registering for 'over-priced' .CN

Hi everyone. I just want to warn you about "cheap .cn" domains. I'm still seeing people trying to offer .CNs at the price of $1 or more. In case some of you haven't heard, this year the Chinese government is trying encourage people to get .CN domains. So they've brought the price of registration down to 1 yuan/rmb for the first year. That's about $0.14

Ok, just wanted to share that with you guys.

I dunno about at that price but I think DynaDot sells them at 1.99 or 2.99usd a piece

If .CN is for China's domestic market then.......

If .CN is for Chinas domestic market (as .US / .co.uk largely are for ours) why would any westerner want to reg chinese .cn's in the english language.... surely that's just putting money in the registrars pockets?

The .CN tld acts as a gateway for westerners to China and the Chinese marketplace. Very, very important.

I think you have to be in China or a PRC citizen to get the low price. Spammers sure love .cn .
