Unstoppable Domains โ€” Expired Auctions

Better deals at DropCatch compared to GoDaddy Auctions?

Who would have ever thought the day would come that you can get a better deal on DropCatch than buying the same quality name at Godaddy Auctions. GD Auctions is getting out of hand with the price that some domains have been selling for the past few months and it gets worse by the day. Names that were closeouts a year ago are now selling for a couple hundred bucks or more. I can't believe that more domainers have entered the market and has driven the price up. Yes, I have already seen the threads about HugeDomains buying up this inventory but they are the after affect and not the cause.

It seems like the new model is to pay $300, $400 or $500 for $2,500 names. That's not sustainable over time. Buy for $500 to sell for $2,500? It used to be, buy for $10 and sell for $2,500.

WTF is happening here?

perhaps that was the plan? Hugedomains buying up all names on Godaddy, domainers need to go to Dropcatch to backorder...

Completely agree OP, godaddy auctions are becoming a waste of time and money.
It's becoming ever harder to make ROI with average to good names with the sort of competition we are seeing.

In many cases you are paying $300-500 a domain and end users won't pay up more then that with all the supply out there. It's getting harder by the day no doubt.
