I am looking for hosting for several of my sites and wondering what you would reccomend as far as companies and plans. I plan on hosting a fair amount of stuff and rapidly expanding my main website www.Qool.com

I just have a general piece of advice for you with finding the right host. Don't look to companies for hosting when their main business is something else such as domains (especially, IMHO). Although I have not hosted with Godaddy or Registerfly or any other domain + hosting provider I have seen many threads about this.

Please reference the WebHostingTalk.com search feature if you want evidence to back it up. I'd advise you to look around at some of the more reputable companies and even try a search both here and at the afore mentioned forum, WHT.

As for the right plans, it'd be best to get a general idea of what you're going to need. I see that you have images on your site and that you have a forum. You might want to look for a above 100 MB (500'ish would be good IMHO to start out) and you're not going to need loads of transfer yet. I'd go for a smaller plan that allows you to upgraded as you need more.

I've never used their actual shared accounts but I have been on HE hosted servers for a few months a couple years ago. It was a solid network back then, but they did have some issues for a brief period. I think they've since overcome them, though.

I've used both www.ez1web.com and www.Ipoerweb.com . Both provide solid, reliable service. But they've also be around for a while and run DCs. I've been burned more than once by the super discount places, so if your sites are important, I would advise going with a well established company.

You could always host your own...Get a desktop (or build your own, it doesn't have to be that good because your hosting yourself)...get Apache and some other programs...configure your router, and you have hundreds of GB for hosting, way more than any other hosts can offer.

Or if you have a website that can fit under 400 MB...see sig...

I agree, go with someone who purely hosts. I would also go with a real company seeing as I have had 2-3 dodgy hosts on NP before. I just bought a reseller account for myself from someone on here and paid $50 a year for 5gb/100gb. I found opening your own reseller is cheaper and easier. Any left over room you can charge off cheap.
