best / safest way to sell $100ish domains?

Hi guys,

just wondering what you guys think the best and safest way to sell domains on this forum is when the price is around $100 give or take a bit. Bit of a catch 22 in that you can't just use paypal because you haven't got a high enough itrader for people to trust you but you can't get a higher one for the same reason.

Anyway.. would really appreciate if someone could give me some tips on whats best to use and also any tips of how not to get scammed as i've read a lot about people scamming by reversing the charge on paypal somehow.. anyway of avoiding this potentially happening?

Thanks

2C x

Yes, you are right, it's a catch 22 situation. I, myself have always used escrow when the amount is over $100 just to be safe, but I would certainly be interested in hearing from experienced domainers on the methods they use not to get scammed.

Wouldn't it be great if we could use someone here from NP to act as an "escrow agent" without having to pay them any commission?. Maybe we could give them a trader rating or something...just a suggestion:)

Good suggestion in my opinion.. even if the commission was less then escrow it could definately work

Yes I think giving a commission (even less than escrow) is at least minimum. But yes, it would be cool to have someones doing this here :imho:

If accepting payment from PayPal just make sure the buyer has a "Confirmed Address". If they do then they cannot do a chargeback and the seller is protected. Most PP users in the US have Confirmed Addresses, some in UK and Canada do too, but most other overseas places do not.
