advice Best Way to Counteroffer

What is the best response to a low ball offer? I know what I want to counter. I just don't know how to say it in a courteous & professional way. I would greatly appreciate it if some of you can share what you would write back to someone that is interested, but offers you less than what you think the domain is worth. Thank you!

It may read a bit British and formal but I always think keep it short and polite and it saves those " Well what would you sell for replies" I would use a different reply for any offer that I feel was in reason but requires some element of persuasion to go higher

Just used that to move a 4k initial offer to 11k. Polite and shutting them down has worked very well for me since 2003. Closes up time wasters and makes serious buyers get in the range if capable.
