Best Typos

I don't know how many of you guys have checked on the availibility of typos for the top 20-30 sites lately, but any form of typo for these is long gone and then some. I'm wondering what types of typos get the most traffic. Over on eBay there are a lot of people selling wwwlexample.com typos. Other forms I can think of are:

wwwexample.com - no dot
exmaple.com - switch two letters
exanple.com - replace a letter with an adjacent letter
exanoke.com - shifting the hand over
examplle.com - double letter

I am curious if any of you have portfolios of these which forms collect the most traffic.

From my shallow experience, mispells and two letter switching gets the most, while wwwlexample.com or wwwexample.com gets the less

Hmm, I'm really not sure.. but in the past domains such as kaaza, and kazza have reached outstanding prices.

It would be nice to have an actual chart of the most common mistakes people make while typing. For instance, subsitituting a p for an o is probably far more common than substituting a l for a .

I think you have to use a little common sense with the typo domains. As they've already pointed out above, domains that have reasonable errors are the best. For example, hitting p instead of o or a instead of s. The other domains are taking it just a bit too far IMHO.

I'm thinking about a few ways to find high quality typos right now. One idea is to create a browser toolbar that would record all non-resolving domain entries and send them to a server where they could be tabulated. I also have another I idea I might try out soon....

Good Ideas I have a few that do a little like austtalia.com Tr next to one another but its not big mp3playrs.com gets 25 to 30 a month cellulaphones.com 20 Good Luck post your research be glad to help it is an interest that can be profitable just stay away from TM situations IMO

What is the worst they can do in a TM situation? Take away your domain?
