I have discussed here about software for designing. I have used CorelDraw, WebStudio, Dreamweaver. I want to know your opinion that which software is best for Designing. From my point of view, Dreamweaver is the best software for designing. Because I have used it since two years. It has good functionality and many features that helps us to design our website easily. But still I want your suggestion that which one is the best software for designing ?
Thank you.

What about us that don't know code D-:
Are there any, WYSIWYG alternatives?

(I am basically wanting a "drag & drop" software that 15 minutes later lets you have a website)

Take a look at Weebly.com It's even free unless you want some advanced features. I've built DreamWeaver sites, but this is so easy I am switching many sites to it.

I design with multiple programs from Photoshop to Illustrator. It really matters if you care about doing your design from that medium or not. I prefer getting a pen and paper sometimes and still have great compositions so it really depends on your skills as well.

I understand how easy a WYSIWYG editor can be. But in all honesty, HTML is so easy to learn and I believe you get MUCH better results by coding yourself. You develop a better understanding for how it all works, what the limitations are, and how you can overcome those limitations.

At the moment, I'm using Komodo Edit for this, and it's a great piece of software. Its not always stable, but most of the time it works well.

You'd be doing yourself a huge favour by trying to learn HTML and everything you need is just a google search away.

I believe that Dreamweaver is the best thing invented for the design

I develop fulltime, and I use Komodo edit (not by choice, but have to because the way the old system works) and NetBeans. I much prefer Netbeans. Most of the work I do requires coding as well, and the NetBeans IDE makes my life 100% easier.

if you just looking for graphics designing then Corel X4 is the bezt software
but when we talk about a complete website even though Dreamweaver is a good software at that pace but we cant neglect Corel there aa well.

I actually prefer to hard code with some good NetBeans PHP/JSP editor or simply notepad++ for css and XHTML.
I don't need those costly software apart from photoshop for image editing.
But the true best designer is the brain!
