Hi,
I have been looking at getting some expired domains, however everytime i do a whois search i get domain deleted, but I can't register it.

However the next day or later on, I find someone else has registered that domain,
1) I was wondering is there a good registrar to get a expired domain on?

2) Also does a ll-l.com domain have any value?

3) Do I need to backorder these domains?

4) which back ordering companies would you suggest?

Sorry for all the questions

thanks

I think snapnames is good - but loads of big fish swim there ^ ! If you find a name you want, check first who it is registered with - then find out if they have a partnership with one of the drop companies ( ie Network solutions use Snapnames)

Once you backorder just hope there's not 60 people bidding with you for the same name !! :td: Good Luck

probably - I don't chance hoping to get it after it has dropped, there seems to be some companies out there that get a hold of loads of domains if no one has backordered it, they then keep the name to see if it has any traffic, if not they release it without paying for it ( from what I have heared)

thanks, do pool.com and snapnames charge minimum $60 per successful backorder?

thanks

Snapnames does for sure - not sure about Pool but I think so, I don't bother using them any more, they send emails out to loads of people saying what the better names are that are expiring (not much chance of getting them without a load of others bidding).

I got a really nice name IMO last week from Snapnames, no one else back ordered it so it cost $60. It's already getting a bit of attention parked at sedo just in a few days. :)

If you get it for $60 - It will be reg'd for 1 year and will be managed by whatever company previously had it. This can sometimes cause other problems but I have'nt had any problems with about 15 or so I have got.

Snapnames is partnered with alot of registers that is why they can be quite successful at getting the name, unfortunately some of these companies are not very good :td: but you can allways transfer it after a couple of months.
