I've used DNware's eNom Domain Grabber. It works, but to really catch the drops, you probably need access to many registrars because 1 attempt per second is way too slow.

You probably need the capability of 20-50 submits per second (same domain) to be able to compete with say, SnapNames.

So a software that supports different registars would probably be the best bet here?

I coded my own software to do the job:

Just run multiple copies to have a much higher success rate.

Well, not really... because you're ultimately going through NameSilo's registry (or whatever registrar's API you are using). Even if you use port 43 whois lookups in rapid succession and send your API registration request the instant availability is determined, NameSilo simply does not have the registrar power of Snap and Namejet. So even microseconds of lag from them and you lose the battle. Without your own registry I do not think you can possibly compete with an auctionhouse.

Additionally, with NameSilo, you have the register API and the registerDrop API. The difference is, registerDrop adds the extra step of them pinging the registry and seeing if the domain is available before they register it... adding more microseconds.

You might check out Securiname - www.securiname.com. Just my 2 cents.
