Interesting hack, to be sure, but .is is an obscure ccTLD few people outside Iceland recognize, mostly used locally. It's not a popular quasi-gTLD like .io or .co. I can't see any potential end users, hence don't perceive them as having any value at all, IMO.

What about someone who wants to use them as a city portal for tourism or similar. Isn't the extension irrelevant in that case? Not trying to argue just trying to learn. Or am I just stuck in the old world of type in keyword traffic?
