Joe123 Top Member VIP ★ 20 ★ Impact 673 May 2, 2006 1 point #7 Efes beer is named after Turkey's most famous ancient ruins. It is alleged the standard Efes beer bottle shape used today is the same as ancient bottles found in the ruins. 'Efes' in English is Ephesus. Here are some pictures of both the beer and the ancient sight: http://images.google.com/images?q=efes&sourceid=mozilla&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&sa=N&tab=wi
