Hey NamePro'ians,

We have just setup a website that checks for the ten absolute basic elements of a website to produce a BWR Score (Basic Website Review Score).

Please jump onto the site and let me know of any issues you may have. I would like it to be as BASIC as possible and very easy to use.

Website: http://www.basicwebsitereview.com/

The reports are only basic, as is the whole website and it needs to be that way, in the future we may add extra elements but we want to keep it as basic as possible.

Cheers

I like the layout, it is simple, like you were going for. The header text is bold and goes with the mostly contemporary design of the rest of the site.

Most of the site is very sleek, but the heavy boxes to the left don't flow very well with the rest of the site design. I'd treat them a little differently.. try removing the header and background colours in those boxes and unbold the content text. Remove the bullet images as well. You can even surround the section with a thin curved border like you have on the "Start with the basics segment" if you want to define separation with the rest of the body.

I really like the graphics of this site. All those 3D images, how did u create them? Maya or 3d Max?

This is a good thought in theory, though I'd be curious as to why a little site like mine rates higher than Apple.com?

What would put this site over the top is some in-depth explanation of what SEO is, how to achieve good PageRank and other SEO standards. You could also build a community around the idea as well.

Good start though! The overall layout looks pretty nice.
