Just a quick note to say names are no longer sold for a fixed BIN price but in fact the first bid fire a 72H auction.

I just wanted to give my thoughts on the latest changes the past week. I think it's ok to lower the appraisal threshold to $500, but what I don't like is the change in reserve to a flat 10% with no opportunity to change it.

My suggestion would be that a seller could place an entering price no greater than 10% of the appraisal price but should be able to start a lower reserve all the way down to $50 (10% of the appraisal minimum).

I think you would see a significant number of new auctions started if sellers could put a minimum bid that got the buyers excited.

To me you are in a sense picking up where Bido faltered by limiting the domains that can be sold but allowing some people to come in and flip in a more liquid market.

My personal feeling is that 10% ist still too much as reserve value for domains that you want to sell to others domainers. I will say 5% is the good value. But it's allways the same, more you lower this value and less you attract domainers to list their names and/or list quality names, and at the inverse more you increase the reserve and less sales you make.

The current submission form is going to be transformed in a bulk submission form, and to avoid hassles all the parameters have been set to default values. The listing date is the next day, the reserve is 10% and the domain description has been dropped.
The idea is in he following days build the bulk submission page and only in a second time can change in your account some values, like the reserve. This way we can make a submission page that is easy and fast for more of the "lazy" domainers or domainers that want to save time.
