I'm pleased to announce the launch of the first ever banner directory!
More than a ordinary directory www.BannerDir.com is an unique concept providing tools and informations for every webmaster!
Under the slogan "Add Colour To Your Links !" , www.BannerDir.com might be an alternative advertising solution for the classic link directory. Starting from the scientific truth that the visual memory is much better and long lasting, we think that a nice and catchy banner can be remembered much easier than a text link placed on some other website.
With many features, BannerDir.com wants to provide an excellent service and more than that we try to create a community, making sure that the visitors will come back to our directory. I hate to say , but when it comes to directories people will submit their links and they won't come back in most of the cases.
We do not use any script for the reason that there is no script for our ideea at the moment so the directory has been manually built.
Normally this website will be a paid directory as there is quite a lot of work involved and the banner submission will be made manually. Every single website will be checked prior submission to ensure that only quality banners (websites) will be submitted.
Until the end of this month we will not charge for banner submissions but in exchange for your banner on our directory we will ask you to provide a link back from your site, to insert our banner on your website or to write an article on your blog. It is up to you to decide how much attention we deserve from you! Being a brand new website we will need a bit of attention specially being such an inovative concept, so please if you would like to blog or write about BannerDir.com, feel free to do so.

Please fill in the form provided or post your banner image or url on the forum!
Please let us know the way you linked our directory from your site or blog so we can have a look!
Only standard size banners 468x60!
No animation or other flashy stuff please!

Yes you are right ...now imagine how would it be having let's say 10 banners one next to the other and flashing stuff from every corner of the website! It won't be funny at all, I assure you as this thing has been tested!


Animation banners are working fine when they are on a text page or everywhere else where is no other animation around.

I still believe that a classic banner it is much more beautiful and effective than a flashy one. Just my opinion...
