How can I make a gradient from a color to transparant in photoshop? And if I have made a banner with a transparant background in PS and I put it in dreamweaver, the transparant part will be ligt grey/blue . Can someone help me?!

Hi the only format I know that supports this sort of transparency is PNG. However, because of stupid IE's lack of support for the PNG, it is out of the picture.
You will to add a layer (in PS) with the colour which the banner will be placed on under your transparent gradient and save it like that.

Your gradient solution is more or less the same.
I would also like to see an example of this addon you're talking about. In his case it's a banner which generally goes on other peoples sites and you think they all have this addon?
