Banner ads for design

Hi everyone,

I noticed that in a lot of websites, banner ads contributed to how "good" the website looked. Is it possible to make a flash banner of a company and put it on your website even if you're not getting paid and have no affiliation? I would get a banner ad from CJ.com but the site I'm building is catered to Indonesians. I'd love your feedback.

Im sure you can put up any advertisement you want no one in the right mind would be upset with publicity. Are you trying to steal there banner or make one yourself for there website.
