Banner Design Contest

WebDesignTalk.Net needs a banner!.

The banner should be 468x60 in .jpeg or .gif format and 20k or smaller.

The banner can be animated or static.

The banner should include the words: Web Design Talk

The contest will end on Saturday the 28th of June at midnight EST.

There's no requirements except for what was mentioned above.

The one we like best will be the winner!

So have fun and be creative.

We'll give the winner their choice of $30.00 sent via paypal, or one three year domain registration of any .com, .net, or .org domain name, or 3, 1 year registrations of any .com, .net, or .org domain names and 1 free month of advertising here!

The winner will need to supply a 468x60 banner in .jpeg or .gif format and no larger than 20k if they wish to take advantage of the free advertising offer.

I haven't been here in a while. I had too many hobbies keeping me busy and i had to drop a few. Web design was one of them. Bobbi told me about the contest, so I decided to give er an old go.

(speaking of which, sorry, bobbi, technical difficulties)

I'm still alive and well, and I miss posting here, so maybe when I get more free time, I'll pop by here and again.

Dead Serious, if you ever need help with any obscure css syntax, don't be afraid to drop me a line at [email protected] :D

I answer my e-mail once a week only, usually, sometimes even less, so it may take some time to get a reply.

Everyone was going with blue, so I decided to go minimalist with the old #fff and #000.

I know there was alot of quality banners in there, but that's the one I ended up picking as the winner out of the 37 that were submitted.

Im not trying to be the sore loser here, but there were MANY banners submitted better than that. Im not saying MINE, but chin, and CS and some of the other's, I think, no no I KNOW are better than that.

LOL ..... Maybe you can be more specific? Show us which ones in your opinion are better and explain why you think they are better and the criteria you used to come up with why you think they are better?

It doesn't really matter what you think you know, since I chose the one that I liked best. It wasn't about which one was better, but what I liked best. :D

If you can answer the above questions, then, maybe your opinion will be worthwile.

Ever heard this statement, "It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play the game?". I thought that these contest were for fun, not for people to get bent out of shape if they don't win. I myself think that the entire statement that you made, contradicts your first line about not trying to be a sore loser.
