Bankstergate and Business as Usual: Geithner’s Cover-up of the AIG Bailout

This story is currently unfolding, and may blowup to be a massive one with the possibilities of criminal sanctions for Mr. Geithner. Keep in mind that the ClimateGate.com domain sold for $10,000 USD shortly after the emails from the CRU were published.

Similarly, this revelation about the AIG cover up could have global implications and will definitely be of interest to many.

Its seemingly being dubbed BankerGate and/or Bankstergate

I don't think that you can compare your domain to the climate one....the climate one is a world-wide, ongoing issue, discussed around the world each and every day.

Your issue is todays news, and limited in scope, but tomorrow (so to speak) it will be old news. Too many people run out and buy a domain based on the news of the day....and by the time you develop the domain, and make it live, the news is past.

Public attentions spans, and that of the media are very short.

Don't waste your time and money on short-term matters.

So you are telling me that if United States Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner were to be indicted on fraud charges the story would be forgotten tomorrow? AIG is one of the of the world's largest companies.

This is an ongoing story, with GLOBAL reach due to the implications of the bailouts (that were global). Mishandled money went out to every large economy on the planet due to Geithner and others. This is Tax Payers money that is now being proven to have been apart the biggest economic debacle in this past decade.

The reason we still coin these stories as ***Gate is due to the HUGE political fallout of the Richard Nixon fiasco at Watergate. (the story did not die) Apparently, public attention spans are Very good. Watergate.com has an ALEXA Traffic rate of 768,927 and is appraised at over $80,000.

Americans are just awakening to the immense looting that were masked as "bailouts" and I believe they are growing angrier and angrier. People want to research and learn about these stories...

Perhaps the domain is just attempting to ride the story of the day, we will see what develops. Domaining by nature is speculative. But it is wrong to claim that this is narrow in scope or only "todays" story or short-term.

Bankstergate was such a LARGE and important News story we never heard about where I live unlike Watergate.

Short-term news item make LOUSY choices for domains.
especially as .net's
< REGFEE (lucky to resell for $3 ) and zero earning potential

the com's are barely worth more than regfee
