I and a friend are working on a fan community of a music band we're both fan of. Since no forum existed yet, we decided to start one ourselves.
Now the band's name is taken with all gTLD's. Of all somewhat common extentions the only ones available are .cc and .tv.
(I think .tv cannot be cheaper than 30 quid per year and may make little sense for a forum?)
Another option would be the abbreviation of the band name + the word forum with a gTLD. The band's name is often abbreviated amongst fans.
Which of both would be best option?
NOTE: this is a domain without the purpose to be sol. It is intended for the forum we work on, so it should be attracting fans of the band to the forum. I have no intention to sell the domain so value doesn't matter in this case, I just need the domain that would be best to make the fan community easily found by fans of the band.
