Bad Traders

I wasnt going to make an official suggestion, but recently I have seen a fair few members who seem to not carry transactions through etc and I had an idea...

I thought we could create some sort of unofficial 's**t list' of members who have pulled out of a deal without mutual concent from the seller.

It would deter those people from doing it I think... and we would have a list of people to avoid!

What do people think?

The list would be very short. If someone is a repeat offender, they will be removed from the site.

We encourage use of the trader rating feature on the site to identify bad traders by leaving negative feedback. Unlike eBay, we do not permit retaliatory feedback from the party that did not fulfill their part of the deal.

I think RJ and the staff has made the Trader Rating a serious indicator that works pretty well as is.

Seems like a good idea, scammed by two or three people here, one of them is still an active member..

The trader rating here is a good indicator for whenever I do business with someone here. I keep a mental note however of problems that I see in the threads as well. Sometimes a quick search of a user name will throw up problems such as WMI has experienced and I just don't bother doing any business with them - can't be bothered with the hassle.

All in all though the trader rating is a great feature

There are a couple. Some people change, though, so one negative rating shouldn't be reason to stop doing biz with that person, but just a warning to be careful.

Also, if the trader rating has been overshadowed by more recent positive ratings, then I generally give that person the benefit of the doubt.
