I recently bought Backpackers.info would appreciate your views on potential value.

I'd rate it mid $XX - only site would be for information about backpacking really... Maybe sell to a backpacking company- there are tons out there.

great domain, i never give Appraisals but there is a huge market for backpackers and travellers and the ext is perfect imo.

I sold Backpacked.com for $xxx I would think that Backpackers.info would go for a similar if not higher amount.

The extension fits perfectly.

I'd say mid $xxx. Not quite as good as the singular version or backpacking.info,but still a very strong .info domain. I wouldn't sell it for less than $250, but would ask about 2-3 times that amount.

I would rate perhaps $xxx - low. The extension is not grand.

However you will always be able to sell it to many a backpacking company.

I think, contrary to another poster, that the plural is *better* for this domain. backpackers.info and backpacker.info.. I think the plural is just better, sounds better, is more appropriate, etc. backpacking.info would be ideal, but this isn't a perfect world..

That said, I'd say mid- to high-xxx, and more to a good company that wants it. I'd say develop it, get a forum on there, get some decent traffic, then market it.

By the way, are you getting any hits on it currently?

I would have to disagree, backpackers.info refers to two things
1. Young Backpackers (A world wide phenomenom)
2. Backpack Accomodation as in hostels etc

I know this is a good name, because I backpacked for two years throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. For Australian's to backpack while you are young is a religious thing to do, it is something all young Australians try and do when they leave school, to work overseas, gain life experience etc.

Not sure about stats, but I will have a backpacking website developed by xmas for young Australians, Europeans, English and other cultures who backpack throughout the world, but it be mainly dedicated to information on Australia and New Zealand.
