There is a domain I want that is 7 years old that is in the pendingdelete stage if I use a backorder service to get it will it still be an aged domain?
Or because it dropped will its age get reset?

Also I don't think they will be any competition for the domain in fact I pretty sure there will be none. Is their anyway to get the domain and keep the age with out paying 60 dollars to a back ordering service?

Some registrars auction their expired domains before they are allowed into redemption period, then drop. Those names are known as prerelease and will retain their age. If the name is truly dropping (registry pending delete) then it will be deleted and the creation date will be reset at the next registration (if you pick it up).

Is this true with GoDaddy expiring auctions? Because I thought they auction those with no gap in dates??
